of kitteny goodness. Have decided to call her April May June, since all the cats that I have named have three names, and they are all "people names." The reason for April May June: she was born in April (or so say all estimates), survived May, and I found her in June. Also--Autumn, the only other female animal in the house, has a seasonal name. I think it works.

Since there appears to be no ice pelting us from the skies today (despite dire predictions to the contrary), here's a photo from the short-lived ice storm of 21 Dec.

I made this rum cake that theldara linked to the other day, and oh, my god. Fabulous.
The only change I made was to omit the nuts and substitute a slightly lesser amount of chopped dehydrated apricots. You can see them on the top. I still sprinkled the brown sugar on them, too. Also--used dark rum rather than light.
Mr. Moo likes the fountain that TBD got him for Xmas.
(He has not put any colored mice in it. Yet.)

(Oh! Forgot to mention--photo was taken with the iPhone app Moonlighter. It makes for steadier shots and is designed to work well in low-light situations.)
